After many years of using computers I have finally been converted to Apple MAC's. I started with a ZX81, BBC Micro B, PC 386DX, iBook G3 and currently an , iBook G4 and MiniMac. I finally got fed up with crashes, poorly written software and the Microsoft monopoly and changed to a MAC, the primary requirements were photo editing capability and a general portable home computer.
Since I bought the MAC I have never looked back. Things I like: processor optomised for low power and reduced instruction set, excellent value for money, loads of freeware, incredibly stable, high performance for the price, leading edge technology and software.
I use the MiniMac for my server on a wireless network, with external drives and printing.
I would recommend a MAC for anyone at home who wants value for money and leading edge performance.
